Default Wow! Now thats alot of noise!

Also posted in tech:

Ok well i recently had my car lowered, but since the my friend and I couldnt get the rear trailing arm bolts off because they were rusted shut and stripped, we could only put the springs on the front. I had an ingalls camber kit installed for the front and am waiting to put the rear on untill i can get it lowered.

The Problem

Ok well my car makes ALOT of noise that is comming from the front two tires as if theer was an orchestra playing at my front end! Could this be due to the camber kit.......I am almost positive my shocks arnt blown, but then again?

thanks in advance

Sounds like your tires are rubbing the fender. How much did you lower it?

Hey we are in the same town...

So it's not a constant noise? Sounds like you need some lube on the A-arm bushings? What kind of kit is it?

ummm....you need that silicone lubricant for the bushings...which are located at the two points where the A-arm attaches to the body. Lots of work at this point. Who installed them?

That would work...

Most people use urethane grease...on polyurethane bushings. I believe the ingals kit has poly bushings. If they are rubber just use regular bearing grease.

Thanks for the help axhandler........I also am wondering if my shocks are blown too, but this noise wasnt there before we lowered it and put on the camber kit, so maybe the springs blew the shocks out after a few outings on the road?
Ohh well I will try lubing the arms.

Thanks

That's a possibility to...now that I think about it. When I first lowered my car I blew out the left rear on the "humpy" bridge over the intracoastal on JTB. You know what I'm talkin about. Anyway, it made a wicked squeeking noise. It also leaked fluid all over itself, if you look around the bottom of the shock and there is a lot of grease and grime then the shock is probably blown. Hopefully that's not it. Good luck.
