I'll rephase that, I cant wait to see the wear pattern on the caps after coming into contact with the steel crankshaft. The knotch sensitivity is far to high to effectively use titanium for engine parts, one little scratch and some mileage later you have a cracked component.

So....if true then.....enlighten us as to why you would use Ti for main cap material rather than something proven (cast steel, billet steel, etc). I think Ti would have material (physical and thermal) properties that may cause issue for that part of the engine.
Ti may have merit in racing components such as con rods, but main caps I donno. But we would surely like to see pics or reasons why your friend is spending the time making these.

PS. kill the caps lock, stop swearing and you may get to stick around. Just a suggestion

i was talking about hats, not engine parts,,,,,,, you know baseball caps,
the caps are really light and you dont have to wear a helment when batting
