Problem with my nitrous..
I have a 89' crx dx with the dpfi injection on it.. I installed a zex dry kit with a 55 jet in it.. My problem is this, When I spray in 1st gear the car hauls *** like it should.. Any other gear it goes up to about 4k and studders kinda like its hitting a rev limiter.. This happens only when im spraying but runs perfect when im not spraying.. Any help here...

The plugs that are in there are ngk v-core plugs that are 2 heat ranges colder than stock and the are brand new..

check the gap. With the nitrous you will be running much higher cylinder pressures, and may be drowning out the spark. On the DPFI I would recomend a direct port wet system (I think I may have a mani laying around that is already tapped). The weakness of the DPFI system is the 1.25" TB, and much better results can be had if you spray on the other side of the resriction.

stock or slightly smaller should work. Just make sure they aren't way to big.
Another thing to check is your fuel system. Since the problem is at high revs with nitrous (need more gas for both), it could be a fuel system problem. Put a new fuel filter (regular maintenence anyway) in and if that doesn't solve it put a guage on to watch fuel pressure during a run.

I has a brand new fuel filter on it.. Ill try the gauge thing and let you know.. It actually does sound like a misfire.. Im gonna check the plugs tonight and regap them a little smaller..

I belive it's .032 check to make sure. I haven't dealt with nitrous in a while but that's what my plugs are for turbo. May not be ther ame. I can
t seem to remember.

I still have a problem.. I adjusted the gap from .44 to .38 and then down to .32 and same results.. I adjusted the timing from stock to full retard and same problem.. Im guessing its either my ignition system isnt hot enought to fire the plugs when spraying or its a fuel pressure problem.. Funny thing is I check the plugs for signs of running lean or detonation and their fine.. Ill put a pressure gauge on it and see what the results are.. If that doesnt fix it im going to just put my other motor (93 civic dx) in there since it is newer and has the mpfi injection on it..
for the fuel pressure, make it so you can watch it while driving, the pressure should jump when you hit the button, then stay somewhat constant to redline. My guess is that it starts dropping when your car starts hesitating.
To read the plugs you need to shut off the ignition WHILE the car is hesitating, immediatly afterwards is not soon enough.

Right now I am using the stock fpr.. My friend is bringing his fuel pressure gauge over tonight so ill check and see if its a fuel problem or a ignition problem.. Is it also possible that the dpfi injection cant keep up since it only have 2 injectors in it..

dumb question but did you ever check to see if both noids are working? and you have the right jets in?

Hmmm.. Ill check to make sure the correct jets are in there but im sure they are.. Also I know the nitrous noid is working fine but how do I tell if the fuel part of it is working ok..

Plugs are brand new and are 2 heat ranges colder.. Wires are brand new.. I have fresh 93 octane gas in the car.. Im going to put my new motor in and ill see if it still does it then.. Its either a fuel problem or a spark problem..
it might a week coil i have seen that in the past myself
but go though everything and see how it all looks
you can disconect one noid at a time with the car off and check each noid if they are opening or at least clicing
becouse it is hard to hear both opening at the same time
