Headers
My friend has a 2000 Accord 4 Cyl. He wants to get some headers but he not sure which ones to get. All he has is an AEM CAI and a Greddy SP Exhaust. He would also like to know how much hp can he expect with the combination of IHE. I'm thinking maybe around 5 or so, I might be wrong. Thanks for your info.
8-10 with good conditions with all of the above modifications. I believe the newer accords with all their low emissions stuff are somewhere in the high end of that "average".
Let's just face facts here: bolt ons are polishing modifications, they do not add any substantial power, they can only improve or perhaps "tune" upon existing power. You need nitrous, internal mods, or some other form of FI (turbo, super) to make any even somewhat impressive amounts of power.
It's hard to say how much he'll get off the header alone, but likely only an increase in torque since the other mods are done.
As for what kind of header, any will do, I like the DC header for quality and all, but it's no better than any good copy from eBay or something. The best thing about a header is that it looks nice and it is a LOT lighter weight than any stock cast iron header will ever dream of being.
