Default Replacement Amp - 75W RMS 4 Channel @ 4 Ohms ?

Hey folks,

I'm looking at replacing a Power Acoustik's amp (Q4-640), I'd ideally like something that can manage the same output (75 watts RMS @4 ohms 4 channel) any recommendations ? Price around $400-$500's.

By the by maybe someone could tell me, whats the difference in audible volume if you compare an amp that does 50 watts and an amp that does 75, is there much difference ? I'm more interested in quality, the reason for changing the amp is mainly because the sound is very hollow when going through this amp (no matter what adjustment is undertaken) and it's spoiling the system.

Any thoughts ?

Cheers folks.

Find an Eclipse 4 channel, the audiable volume depends on the speakers but I'll be that you can't max out an eclipse amp. I have one 50 RMS x4 @ 4ohms running to my type r's 135 MAX and the speakers distort at half gain.

ur power acoustik amp was no where near 75 watts. they're a generic company. try going with eclipse, jl, or ppi.

What was the power rating then ? I know it says 75 watts RMS but what is it more realistically to be, do you know of any one who has reviewed any of their products ? Info on them is a little sketchy !
