The "BARE" aluminum block weighed 75 lbs?! I find that hard to beleave? Maybe iron block.... I mean i picked up a whole D16 block that was full of pistons and crank, flywheel... and that could not weigh more than 60-80lbs?
The block its self is JUST aluminum?

my bare h22 block weighs 55lbs so maybe with packing it could be 75lbs. i know i can move a h22 bottom end with everything still in it so it cant be over 150lbs

i shipped off an h22 short block a while ago, and i can guarentee you it weighed more than 75 pounds. fully assembled short block, give or take some things weighed over 100 to be safe.

FWIW, a complete engine, minus lower exhaust, p/s and a/c, weighs 475lbs, so it's not surprising a short block wouldn't be at least 200lbs.... It's darn heavy!

yeah i can lift a complete h22a short block off the ground by myself. Though I can't stand there with it in the air all day long, but you get the idea of how heavy it is.
