Comptech. It is 2.25 though. Jdm 4-1 is will pass visual and I've heard some people passing state ref with it. S
o it may be almost considered Carb legal

No, it is because it has a CARB stamping on it that signifies that it has passed CARB emission tests.

It's not that they don't pass emissions, it's just that to get a CARB Exemption Order for OBD2 cars, the header has to bolt to the stock cat (2.0", not 2.25") or come with a certified legal OEM cat (Carsounds are legal on OBD1 cars only, CARB does not approve use of Carsounds on OBD2 cars). The DC JDM does not bolt to the stock cat so it could not be approved because DC did not provide an approved cat for it to bolt on to.
The only CARB approved 2.5" header is the HyTech w/ Renault cat (cat must be used or it's not legal). My car was used by HyTech for CARB certification testing and it passed easy, actually ran cleaner than the stock system.

I went back to your posts in Apr and Aug last year, but I can't see the pics for some reason, so I have to ask: does the Hytech have the CARB plate welded on like the other legal ones?
