you will need

K20A2 or K20A3 (from Civic Si) Engine With:
- AC compressor
- alternator
- P/S pump or idler pulley (from Civic Si)
- wiring harness
- exhaust manifold and catalytic converter

- ECU
- Transmission and starter
- intermediate shaft
- Axles from either 02 Civic Si or 94 up Integra GSR (we used 02 RSX with RSX knuckles and hubs)
- RSX or 02 Civic Si subframe
- Hasport ESK1 bolt in mount kit (as of this time the kit will not work with the K24)
- Hasport ESKWH conversion wiring harness
- RSX shifter assembly and cables
- 02 Civic Si radiator and fans (although the RSX will fit with some trimming around the radiator cap opening in the grill)
- 02 Civic Si upper and lower radiator hoses (RSX are longer and may kink)
- RSX throttle cable
- RSX fuel line, brake booster line and purge line
- RSX AC line from compressor to condensor
- RSX clutch lines from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder
- Custom AC line from compressor to evaporator (Hasport should have one available by April)
- 90 Accord negative battery cable

- If you want powersteering:
- RSX high pressure powersteering hose and return line
- 92 Civic P/S resevoir w/ bracket and a section of hydraulic hose to go from the pump to the resevoir

Doesn't the new Civic "FP" edition come with a k20a3? You should just get that, then drop the k20a2 in there.... Correct me if I'm wrong.

The "FP" edition comes with a d17. I wish they dropped a k series in the new civics.

Someone did a k20a swap into a em2, he ran low 14's all motor. He's currently boosted making well over 400whp. Hasn't ran it at the track yet since his k20a ecu cuts out at 110mph.

Working on one right now, trying to piece it together. it's an a3 though, but picked it up at a great price.

ya it is pretty hard to do that swap. i am debating wether to go all out on a k20 swap or just say on the more subtle side of things and just go turbo.

an em2 (2001+ civic coupe) is much lighter than a typeS.
I think the weight difference was almost 200lbs. So you are running about the same as an ITR.

Default k20 em

honda tuning had an edition i think it was either july or august but it was devoted to a em civic k20 swap. you should look around for it or i could dig it up and send it to you. it had alot of useful info.

I saw that orange civic. how can you tell if it was a type-r motor. Did you guys see the k20a stamp on the engine block. I was speaking to those guys about the swap and they had no clue about the car. All they told me was that their shop did the swap.

An EM2's curb weight is 2556lbs. Technically, it's over 200lbs lighter than the Type S. DC5R's curb weight is 2596lbs.

One guy on 7thGen weighed his EX and I believe it came out to around 2350lbs.

oh o.k. i wasn't sure about the civic's curb weight. that actually makes it seem more worthwhile now.
k20em2- the orange civic was visibly stamped, but it had the DC5R 6 speed tranny and intake manifold. there were two guys there, one didn't know ish about the car but the other guy actually knew what he was talking about. the orange was a different color and went well with that blue pearl color but you would never catch me in that thing. seems like these shows are just getting more and more crazy with some of these cars. show me some more japan spec cars or clean conversions and i'll be happy. i don't particularly care about alteezas and hydraulics.

Read on the Civic "FP" it says it comes with a 160bhp engine... which I strongly believe is a k20a3 and they are test driving it. Its an article from road & track.
