which car to buy?
Ok, i have been looking, and lokking, and i finally got a couple of cars that look good enough to buy. The fisrt is a 90 crx with a zc with only around 40k on the engine. It has an aftermarket clucth, and i believe inkate, exhauset, and some other stuff i cant think of off the top of my head. The guy said he ran a 14.8 1/4 mile. The only thing he said wrong with car is that it needs a distrubuter.(he said it runs without it but the tach bounces aroud 5k rpm, I dont know if that is a major problem or not.) The other car is a 90 hatchback. The guy says it has "around" 80k, he said he is not sure, in a b18a ls motor. He says there is nothing wrond with the car and it runs perfect and it ran a 15.1 1/4mile.
Which car would you buy. I plan on driving it everyday to school and work, and on the weekend maybe do a little street racing. Thanks

BOTH ARE 2800. The ls has a better engine, but the guy doesnt even know exactly how much mile are on it. He said it is around 80k but now mure than 110k. If i get the ls, i will later buy a b16 head and do a lsvtec. But, if i get the ac, i will eventually replace the engine with a b16, and later on do a b20vtec.

humm..id go with the hatch, only cuz i don't like crx's when i sit in them i feel funny, if your gonna eventually swap to a b20vtec why not just save your money and do one swap instead of two, i mean i hear your gonna be disapointed with that b16, not that its a bad engine, its just your gonna be swaping anyway and there is no point in doing two motors, whatever, not my call
my .02 cents is on the hatch

The only thing thats scares me about the hatch is that it ha 80-110k on it. I dont know if the cr will last much longer. My friends gsr motor blew up at 123k. But, i could always get a engine rebuild once i get an lsvtec.

wierd when ever I sit in a hatch, I feel like I am in an older car... the CRX feels and looks more uptodate... Just my opinion though

This is whait ill probably do. Tuesday, ill have 3000 bucks to spend. Some guy told me that he saw 2 crxs for 1500-2000 bucks. I probably can talk one of them down to 1200. That leaves me with 1800 to get a b16 engine swap. I can get a swap, racing mount, and shift linkage for around 1800 shipped right? So all i will have to do is save up another 300 bucks to get this guy to put it iin for me. Would this be the best route to go
