Is this detonation?
I shift to 4th gear at around 10mph and the revs falls to around 1k ( this is from memory might try again later ), and step on the gas. The engine felt like it does not have enough strength to pull up and there is this vibrating motion on the gear stick + some vibration noise, the feeling is like the car is about to stall. But when the revs rise above 2k rpm eveything is ok and engine rev smooth as usual.
Can someone help a newbie here?

Seriously, there is no point being in 4th at 10 mph. I had to read your post a couple of times because I thought there was a mis-type.
The revs should never be that low in any gear above second. I have heard of people babying their R's by not going above 3000, but holy **** man 1000 RPM???
I hope you know that your car must be revved up once in a while to keep it healthy. The way you treat your car is actually hurting it, and wasting gas. How do you even get anywhere on the freeway?

Why are you testing for detonation? Is your car boosted. Tell us your set up and we will tell you if there is any remote chance you are detonating. The test you did is for cltuch slippage but there are far better ways of testing for that too.

i guess read your spark plugs, make sure your timing and ignition components are withing service limits
just don't push full throttle at rpm at low rpm - you'll end up with more mess..

Car is basically stock with intake and muffler mod and timing at 18. I read in previous posts that u got to run high gear at low rpm to listen for detonation, but how low is low rpm?
Anyway it is ok if the situation I mention is not detonation, but can someone confirm?

floor i on the freeway at 50 mph. If you don't hear any rattles, you're fine.
Why are you looking for something that most likely isn't there????
If it WAS there, you would know

Actually, its both. You will detonate(ping) flooring the car in 4th at 10mph.

True, but why are you testing for detonation though especially with your current set up?
