Default New Alternater????

I'm planning on running two 10 inch or two 12 inch SPL w series subs...they are competition subs. I'm running two 820 watt spl amps, one for each of them. Also I was thinking of putting a cap in too, I know that add's strain to the battery and alt. To put less strain on my battery, do I upgrade or rewind my alternater, or what do I do to insure that I won't be killing my battery???? Thanx

What car do you have? Is that the rms or max rating on the amps?

I think if you use a cap you're battery will be fine, actually, i'm sure your battery will be fine even without a cap as long as you turn everything off before you start your car, any extra pull when you're turning your car on would cause it not to start, but other than that i don't think you need a new alternator

all depends on what kind of amps your using.. if its a D class. then you might just be fine with what you have maybee need of a cap. but if its an unregulated amp.. then you'll need to upgrade.. to get most out of your amps
