Default 5th Gen Prelude Front Lip

I've been searching a while for something like this with no luck. I'm pretty sure its futile to ask, but I'll give it a try anyway...

Does anyone know of a company that manufactures Type S or OEM-style Prelude front lips? Or has anyone tried getting one of these companies like Wings West or whoever to make those lips.

I heard that some people have tried getting them to make an OEM-style front lip for the Integra. I dont know if that met with any success. And I dont know if it would be worth the wait.

I know that there are some carbon fiber and fiberglass replicas out there, but I'm looking for the same sort of thing you got from Honda. I'm not crazy about the carbon fiber look, especially not on a black car.

Also, is there any aftermarket front lip out there that has a nice solid look to it, somewhat like the OEM lip that doesnt have any vents or holes in it or doesnt have a big logo molded into it? I've probably eliminated every lip available, but I thought I'd ask anyway...

Thanks... :-D

You may still be in luck if looking for a NEW Type S lip. The color choice will be Black so far as I know. I bought mine from James Chan (www.performance-evolution.com). This is the real Honda part and is a bit pricey. As to appearance-actually looks better than the "OEM" lip IMO. Any bodyshop can color match it to your car. Availability-ask James. He was also working on an aftermarket version when I bought mine.

the american honda warehouse has oem front lips in nighthawk black pearl. I just got 1 of them 3 months ago as a spare just incase my premium pearl lip gets f*ed up. Over the summer I worked at a local honda dealership. They can do a warehouse search and a dealership search nation wide. I actually ended up getting the second to last premium pearl sides and rear and the very last premium pearl front end in the country! What luck!
HOpe this helps

Could you please let me know if there are any NBP OEM lips available.. I am looking for the entire OEM bodykit but if thats not available, the front lip will do fine. I am very interested and the local dealer didnt find any nationwide. If your dealer still has them in stock, let me know.

Thanks

Go here: http://www.handaaccessories.com/preext.html
They don't have any black oem kits but they have oem kits in other colors. Your best bet is to just get one of the oem kits off of this website and then get the kit painted the color of your car. Oem kits are very hard to come by these days. Hope that helped you

read my post again...... THE AMERICAN HONDA WAREHOUSE IN NJ HAS FRONT LIPS IN NBP AND A COUPLE OTHER COLORS. i just bought one and had it painted premium pearl as an "extra" in case something happens to mine. And there are some kits still available. I worked at Richmond Honda in Va all summer long in parts and service. Trust me, people said they arnt available because they dont feel like dealing with a part that isnt sold and is a pain in the butt to get ahold of. I just bought my full oem kit in premium pearl white in july along with an extra nbp front end from the warehouse.

my car this april

my car this july

I called a dealer around here and he kept insisting that the lips are unavailable, even though I informed him that those lips are apparently available at this warehouse. I'll keep trying.

I was wondering, however, how much you paid for your lip. Either way, thanks for the information.

Unfortunately I do not know the contact number for the American Honda NJ warehouse. I assume only a honda dealership can call them up. Honda parts departments have computer systems where they can search for available parts nationally at honda warehouses and even other dealerships. The systems display the location, price, and quantity.

Working at a honda dealership, i was supposed to get mine at cost (150 i believe) but they ended up not charging me (i guess they forgot...hehe)

When i got my front lip, i remember the NJ warehouse had somewhere around 20 lips in black alone.(about 4 months ago). They might have had some ebp and maybe a couple other popular newer colors (99 and up or 2001 only such as ebp or satin silver).

The body shop charged me 75 dollars to have it painted which is a good deal for a pearl coat.

Dont let Lazy parts dept. employees give you the run down. There are lips available. You might have to physically go into your honda dealership to make sure they look this up. The reason they lie and say none are available is that the price has gone down so low, they dont make any money on them. It ends up just being an inconvienence.

hope this helps

thanks for the compliments on the car....
i still need some jdm fogs and some more engine mods when i get the money....im a broke college kid who spent all his money on the oem kit in fear of it being unattainable.

peace~
