Default Temperature coating pistons and head.. (pros and cons)

I heard temperature coatings were good for both protection of internals, and for adding a few extra horse power. The power coming from harnessing all the heat in the combustion chamber. Not letting so much of the heat soak into the motor. This was how it was explained to me. Are they right? Sounds logical. The hotter the explosion, the more power you make.. right? Anyone dyno after getting coatings to the Cylinder head and pistons? What's a realistic HP gain.... 3 maybe 4. Motor should end up around 190 w/ my current setup.
