Should I get a new battery???
My battery just died on my 00' CBR600 F4 and I'm wondering if it's even worth it getting a new battery or would a charger be better? The season's almost over, the battery can power the cluster and headlights but it doesn't have enough juice the crank the motor. Any suggestions?
It could be a dead battery...did you just get a new one recently? If not, you would probably need to get a new one. It also doesn't hurt to have a battery charger/tender.
This is the stock battery that came with a bike. Don't motorcycles have charging systems, like an alternator? The battery powers the guage cluster, horn, headlights, tailights just fine but i hit the starter, the juice won't crank it. Do I need a new battery then?
go to some hardware store, charge it up, and get the battery tested. most batteries have a CCA (cold cranking amp) and they will see if it is a good battery or not. motorcycles do have a charging system, there is a coil in the back of the flywheel (not really an alternator).
