Default Type R intake manifold on LS

Did a search didn't find much.
Does it mount up? Any drawbacks? Is it even possible?

why would you even want to? even if it fit, i dont think you will gain any rather lose some hp on an NA ls. that manifold was made to make more power in the higher rpms like 7-9k that the ls just doesnt have.

Bump, cuz i wanna know too. I know it can be done. FIrst i heard all you have to do is re-drill 2 holes, then i heard something has to be welded. Someone help. And i'm thinking about a JG manifold for a Type R, will that need to be modified any differently?

yea, i've seen that article but it doesn't really tell you what all has to be done. It just said they sent it off to get it modified. I'm trying to do this myself. and i'm assuming the JG Manifold will have to be modified the same way?

You have to mod the flange to accept the coolant channels and bolt pattern. A lot of work when you can call Skunk2 and order something that bolts right up and has similar specs (plenum, runner diameter and length)
