Default How to maintain an impact wrench (lubricating)

My owners manual for my new craftsman 550ft-pd impact wrench mentions something about oiling, but it did not tell me how to go about doing so.

anyone w/ experience shed some light on how to maintain this expensive piece of tool?

Its great btw, no more danggling on 10ft pipes trying to loosen a bolt.

Put a few drops of air tool oil into the tool through the chuck before you use it. It keep the bearing lubricated. Also make sure there is no moisture in your air compressors tank. You can bleed the moistore out the bottom of the tank through a valve on most good compressors.

so put the oil into the air-inlet? is that what the "chuck" is?

how viscous is the air tool oil? I used some wd-40, but Ill go out and get some air tool oil soon. Does home depot carry it?

You can buy it anywhere, it will say something like "air tool oil" on the bottle. You put the oil in the air inlet hole.
