anybody here can teach me how to differentiate B16B head with others B16A, B18C and B18C R head? I want to buy B16B head for my modifications. I don't want to be cheated by the seller. Is there any code number or marking to know that is B16B head.

well
a gsr head you can tell apart by the water neck bein in the front.
b16/a and b both have a pr3 stamp on it. so do b18c5 heads. if your gonna port it, it might be wiser to find a b16a head and port that. most porters like that anyways. not a huge benefit stock vs. stock comparing a R head to a stock b16a. im pretty sure the b16b and b18c5 heads are the same though. just go to acura and by a brand new complete one for like 13 or so. then sell the cams for like 450 and you have a perfect head for like 850 or so.

 

mean that i can't see the difference between B16B head with B16A heads just like that? what i know is valve angle is differents. This will need us to dismantle the valve cover right?....

 

b18c5 heads say pr3-3....im not sure if other b16 heads do?

i have seen b18c5 with pr3-3, pr3-2 and pr3-1
