Just hide it somewhere, don't leave it open for bling. it will end up getting stolen that way. glovebox,center console, near rear view mirror

 

mine is down in the console where the cupholders and ash tray used to be.

Thats pretty pimp though.

 

Mine is mounted above my steering wheel. Its easy to view but sometimes gets in the way. I am selling mine anyway because I am going to be purchasing a Hondata.

 

How about here:

 

Ideally, it should be somewhere in the shade with at least some ventilation. They run really hot and I've seen a few shut down right in the middle of of aut0-x runs.

Theft, ease of visibility, and tuner usage should also be primary considerations.

Aesthetics is a tertiary consideration. Buy a bear skin rug if you want your car to look good.

I agree, but unfortunately you need to understand that probably 35% (if not more) of V-AFC buyers are more interested in the "bling" and will never use the device for true tuning on a dyno as it should be used (I am not singling-out anyone in this thread or elsewhere). I think that's the reason you don't see more threads about locations for a Field SFC-VTEC - it's "bling-level" is too low.

now thats a nice freakin spot, its too bad I got a boost controller where my ashtray used to be, my vafc is straight in the open in front of the clock, maximum visability for the driver and the theives!!!

 

I like the spot where the ashtray is - not bad - is it hard to see from that angle though ? and you also cant really take i t out if you were in a .... hmm suspicious place.

is the wiring under the headliner ?

 

I put it where the ash tray was like posted above, took some cleverness to get it there but I love it there

 

glove box so no one can see it to steal it

 

I think i might go with above rear view mirror.
