Is 200whp posible....?
i was wondering if i will be able to achieve ~200whp with the new setup...
i do not have a baseline dyno of my car so i do not know how much power i am pushing out.
my current setup:
97 JDM H22A Stock Internals
I/H/E
Walbro 190lph
OBI Injectors
VAFC
Chipped p28
New setup that will be going in shortly...:
Milled head (don't know how much, getting from a friend)
0.2 mm oversized Ferrea Valves
3 Angle Valve Job
Crower Dual Valve Springs
Type-S retainers
Crower Stage 2 Cams (63422A-2)
Im short on cash right now so i cannot afford a baseline dyno of my current setup, but i will tune my car once i get everything installed. Anyone have any predictions of how much power i will be pushing?

i think so...or pretty damn close
the JDM puts ~165-170(someone correct me if im wrong)to the wheels
I/H/E will net maybe 10hp...oh get a cat too..that will help
Vafc will help too
not sure about the P28
and the head work and cams will probally put you over if not damn close to it..oh yea cant forget good tuning
good luck and post up the dyno graph when its done

The reason the JDM H22 is different is because it runs a higher comp. ratio and has a harder time passing US emission. The JDM H22A is 10.6:1 and makes a claimed 195hp at the flywheel. Every engine wholesaler says either 190 or 200 because those are the USDM stats, and the only ones they can find.
Oh yeah, Nick M. is right. There are a large number of people hitting 200whp with only bolts-ons. If you run a full Mugen exhuast/header with a straight pipe a good intake, and your engine is in good shape you should be darn close, pulleys should put you over the top.

LOL, that's exactly what I was going to say.
$1200 might seem like a lot...but if you add up all the worthless parts people buy for their cars....you are better off just getting the header. Not only that...your car will be more reliable too.
Just my $0.02

I was checking out the SMS header, but i cant afford them right now...i got alot of the stuff for a good deal.
The new head setup and cams for about $1K. I like my exhaust its nice and quite (APEXi WS) plus i got it brand new for free.
Labor is free because me and my friends are gonna do it ourselves.

Yeah i was looking at the purchasing of SMS header, but i have a question of how low it hangs to the ground and do i have to customize my exhaust again.
btw my car is a Civic and the DC headers hang real low to the ground and my car is not even lowered that much (2 finger gap in the front).

205whp, SMSP header, CM fly, crank pulley, no PS, AEM intake, and FPR, dyno tuned.. Everything else stock.. Dont' think the SMSP header is worth it?? Hum, I know it is!
It has better ground clearance than any other performance pipes, its TUCKED up next to the oil pan!

I'm pretty sure the dave said the header would work on civic hybrids as well. Do a search on SMSP (archived content) and you should find the answer.
