tap tap tap tap tap sound when shutting car off?

tap tap tap tap tap sound when shutting car off?
when i shut my engine off it makes a tap tap tap tap sound before it shuts down. What is this, is this normal? i was thinking maybe my valve guides might be worn.
How bad is this, i just got a valve adjustment not to long ago.

my distributor is messing up right now, its throwing a code for tdc sensor and i know one the the sensors in the tdc sensor has something to do with idle and start up, could that be a factor? Could this damage my head?
