How to remove stripped lugnut??

Default How to remove stripped lugnut??

Ok..i need a really quick, legitimate answer. My friend is stuck on the side of the road and the lugnut is completly stripped....How can he get it off ASAP??

He will need a 1 size smaller socket. Keep stripping it until you can hammer on the smaller socket.

use a locking wrench or whatever they call it.. lock and you should beat 80lb/ft of torque..

this is how i do it.

this will work too -- but you risk messing up your rim.

just pound a socket on with a hammer.

this works for locking lugs too

Well his rimis totally screwed anyway..he hit a curb or something and destroyed it. So the turnpike "maintanence" people came and the idiot used the wrong sized socket (because he didnt have a jack with him) and stripped it out. So the kids father comes along and decides to chisel away the lug.. . So the other way out of this one torching the entire rim off...I really dont know how he did this.

heres how to do it : get a universal lock and weld it onto the one ur trying to get off ... when its on there let it get hot and mold do it then simply turn the universal one works like a charm but put a wet towel over the rim so it doesnt get toast.
