Brake Setup
hey, whats the best brake setup there is or not the best but very good ones for stopping fast and mainly for handling purposes? i heard that just Rotors dont help all too much when it comes to stopping. what should i change and what brands? thanks a lot.
I went with 95 Acura Legend GS brake calipers, Bremo rotors up front, power slot in the rear, russell brake lines and Hawk pads. Still waiting on my lines before I start the front, but I got the rear done.. pics at:

Honda designed your brakes to stop you well imediatly. One time or maybe a few more. They did not design them to stop you extrememly fast over and over again, or to have the best feel while doing it. The biggest advantage you'll find with bigger brakes (legend calipers) is more heat disapation, yes you'll get some better stopping but not very noticable especially under 90mph. What you need to do is make your brakes feel/respond better and disapate heat better. Brembo blank rotors are excellent rotors. Unless your doing extended high-speed time trials you won't need any fancy rotor slots. to improve feel/response get some SS braided lines and better brake fluid. Then just get some street/track brake pads. It'll be the best bang for the buck by far!

rotors aren't as important as pads.
pads will be the main component of a high performance brake setup. slots and x-drills are purely cosmetic and eat pads faster. the OEM rotors are fine (as long as they're not warped) as are the brembo blanks.
SS brake lines help firm up the feel and response. worthwhile mod.
as for pads, it depends on what you want. AEM pads are good for "a little better than stock" or a "street pad", because they dust about as much as stock pads and don't squeak etc etc. Axxis Ultimates are another good street pad. if you want a more extreme pad i'd go with the project u titan kai's or the hawk HP plus, but keep in mind that you'll be paying for the stopping power with comfort. aka, brake squeak, high dust, and abrupt stopping tendencies.

I'm so proud of you guys
Yes, upgrade your pads, simply to axxis ultimates.. http://www.cobaltfriction.com sells them at a great price..

You guys may want to look into an adujustable perportioning valve. From my testing so far, the brake heat bias on a stock Lude is about 54/46. When I went to the Legend calipers and vtec rotors it went to 65/ 35. This shows that there is deffinatly room to tune this brake system.
