My cousin found a 91 civic four door for 100 bucks, the car is hella clean but the only problem is the motor wont start...

when we try and start it the starter does kick over all it does is kinda of make a clunk noise like it turns but then it stops.. I tried to manually operate by stickicking the a power wire to it and when we did that its sounded like it was spinning but it didnt sound right it sounded kinda like a kitchen hand helled mixer.. any suggestions?

mine sounded that way when i bent 4 of my valves... they were stuck open and i had no compression... when i would turn it over it just sounded like a whizzing sound like youre describing... check for something along those lines
