Default Weird sound when decelerating in gear...

Sometimes when I launch normally, at like 3k the clutch makes an odd noise on the upper end of the release. And when Im downshifting the engine makes a clicking noise, and if I rest my foot on the clutch pedal you kind feel it thunking almost. What do you thinks wrong?

Should I take it to Honda? Its still under warranty, first time Ive had a warranty in like two years, so Im up for some bitching. But why would the throwout bearing create that clunking sound when Im slowing down? It does it with the clutch fully engaged.

oh wait, what model year is your s2000? if its a 00-01 model, there was a TSB that fixes the deacceleration "buzz" . they replace the clutchdisk and pressure plate to a newer one found in the 02/03 models. you should definately take it to honda since its under warranty and they'll replace anything with no charge. do it asap before warranty is done. make sure you get all the TSB's(there were a lot for 00-01) done.

What is the warranty policy on the s2000 anyway? I just bought it and it has 18,500 miles, and its a 2000.

TSB #54 only states to replace the clutch disc, i dont think they are suppose to replace the pressure plate as well.

Definitely the TSB 054. They replace the clutch disc but I believe that they use the old Pressure plate. I'm having mine replaced this week and I bought an ACT HD pressure plate to replace the stock PP. I'd suggest having it checked out by the dealer and see if they are willing to put an aftermarket PP in there once the car is torn apart. ACT uses the same exact clutch disc that Honda uses...literally. The part numbers are the same. You'll get a much better setup if you upgrade the PP and you'll be much happier.
