S03's for the BIG BALLERs!
I was looking into them and grabbed a set of FALKEN Azenis for 1/2 the price. I hear they pretty much suck in the rain, but they grip the best out of any street tire out there. All the STREET Tire guys use them in my Auto-X regions!
Maybe you should look into a pair of BFG Drag Radials.
I am anxious to do some turning on them!
And they have a very dope tread pattern on them:

well some people might want that piece of mind of not buying drag radials and going with the SO3's so that in the rain they go to make a right turn and go straight....lol

its his call tho

my lude is on re730's and they are bad as hell... They are verry grippy and resist hydroplane well... I have driven at 50 mph thru 3" water around here a lot... the only problem is the noise they make... its loud as crap, but im halfway def... it doesnt bother me... but it might **** some people off...

Both SO3's and azenis are great tires, can't go wrong either way. I recommend Yokohama AVS ES 100's.

everyone stop buying azenis because it's impossible to find sets these days for a reasonable price. not to mention that they're on backorder everywhere.

unless it's on a track wheel, i would stay away from the azenis just because of the treadlife, and wet handling, and c'mon do you guys really need that kind of traction on the freeway? i say no.

get yourself some yoko avs es 100's or some kumho ecsta 712's. both are affordable, solid tires.

can't go wrong with FALKEN Azenis, IMO. Great bang for the buck tire! ...and if you go though 2 or 3 sets of tires a year like I do, you need to buy cheap tires

However I hear that the price is really going up now I got mime for $80 a tire back in the spring.

That was my 1st choice but after my racing guru buddy slapped me in the face and said, "Clint, aka PLOW KING, you'll destroy a set of Hoosiers in a few events!" I decided on the KUMHOS....Very happy with them after several events and a track day.......But this thread wasn't about those.....Sorry!
$300 a set for my 205/15 Azenis!

I still have a sour taste from the OEM type Yokos that were on my car when I bought it. I think they were AVID or something. They were cheapo 205/55, so I'm sure that contributed to their crappiness!

S03 is the best rain street tire out,but it gives up something to the azenis in the dry (although I'm not sure if the S03 gets quite as greasy, as quickly, as the azenis). Frankly, per dollar, you will NOT find a better tire than the azenis, period. There's no other street tire out now, that isn't R rated, that's comprable (the new kumho ecsta MX might be, but I haven't tried those yet). I have a set of azenis for the track, and a set of avs es100's for the street. Both are 215 45, and I can tell you now that the azenis is noticably grippier than the yoko even under regular street conditions (although I'm curious to see how the yoko would do on the track; I'm bringing both sets of wheels w/ me next time). Anyway, go with the aznies over anything else, it's worth the money, and they hold up fine in the rain. I drove nearly 250 miles in pouring rain on azenis with ~ 2/32nds of tread left after I had run them at the track for the last time, they did hydroplane, but not explicitly, and at full tread they're no worse than the best rain tires out there.

I've got the Yokohama Parad's and I can't say anything bad about them. I can do whatever I want in the rain...and the traction is awesome!
