I am a bout to make a dual throttle body intake manifold out of scrach . will it work or not ?? what do yall think , ?? im going to use the runners off of a dx underbord TB and cut it half day on the intake manifold and make plates to fit the 2 TB's and weld it to the runners ... just an idea , what do you thik is the advanteg and dissadvantage of this ...??

 

why dont you just go with some toda or twm ITB's and call it a day?

Points for experimentation in my book, but I think you'll be disapointed when you're done. There are complicated pressure wave timing issues involved with designing effective intake setups.

 

o i know it wasent going to be easey .. and i know the problems that is going to come ...i just whanted to know if its a good idea.

IMHO No. Talk to GZ Motorsports. They have a twin T/B supra.

 

go for it, have some fun and learn from it. if it does or doesnt make power.

 

I was thinking of basicly the same thing the other day. I was thinking more along the lines of useing two stock b16 TB's one would sit where the stock one sits now and the other on the oposite side of the intake.

Only thing that sucks is the intake to master cyclinder clearance.
