Somewhat Urgent: Stagnant ITR with synthetic oil
I'm a little conserned.....
I had to leave town for 10 days. My ITR has Mobile 1 5w30 in it, and it sat without being started for 10 days. Anything I should do to make sure the oil is running properly through everything, and not sitting all the way at the bottom, as I have heard synthetic tends to do? How should I go about doing this?
Thanks!
Jon

well 10 days is not really long enough to worry about, but if you are concerned you can basically turn the engine over without spark several revolutions to get the oil circulated again. Pull the spark plug wires off and turn over the engine maybe 4-5 revolutions, then re-connect the wires and fire it up and let it idle for a couple minutes. It is the same procedure that I do after an oil change or engine re-build. hth.
