Help! Ls/vtec B18c5 type r head
Anyone out there could help? I am putting a B18C5 cylinder head on my '98 integra GS. I brought the head brand new never installed. And it's just a bare head, so I' ll need to get all the pieces together to take it to a shop to do the installation. Right now I already have the rocker arm shafts with the pins, intake & exhaust valves w/ the springs and the retainers and the vtec solenoid and the lost motion assemblies (What is a lost motion assemblies anyway? ). The above parts are all brand new type R parts. So what else parts do I needed to finish the project. Since I am taking out the cylinder head. I would like to upgrade the piston at the same time. Which piston and rod should I use to avoid clearance problems? Ls or ITR? Will the stock GS crank work fine? Does knife edge the crank shaft can improve the performance? As for the cam shafts, is the after market cams too aggressive for daily driving? I am considering Jun Racing. If using OEM Honda cams. Does the jdm cams worth the extra cash? I would like to gather the best, well, as least better than oem ,parts now. Instead of keep changing. Better do the fist time right. People, please help!
ok... 2 many quastions!
the valve seals and whatnot in the head? as far as pistons i would just go with some aftermarket je pistons...i would go with anything bigger than a flat-top... jun cams will be nice... but u should get the entire jun valvetrain...
