Does short ram install require resetting the ECU?
Resetting the ecu once a month is not at all effective. The ecu "relearns" (modifies the long term fuel trim) within the first hours of driving. The OBDII "workaround" (snipping the ecu memory wire and optionally putting an SPST switch on the wire) is a much better option, as the ecu will be reset every single time you shut down the car.

I learned the hard way about the Radio code. I bought my car used, didn't have the owners manual, and because of a combination of stupidity and laziness drove around for weeks w/o tunes!
Just trying to save a fellow Luder some hassle.
To add to that, anyone that wants DO's and DON'T's of Power Steering removal: I can help you there too. No trust me, its not necessary to flood your friends driveway with p/s fluid!
