well like it says in the title i might be getting a b18b block dirt cheap. it was cleaned and honed but its just the block itself nothing else. I wanted to know what type of compression i would get if i put in ctr crank and pistions. would the block even hold that or would the C.R be to high? if it is what would be a good crank and pistion combo for this. I will eventually go turbo but no time soon so i figured this would give me some good power for now.

compression ratio would be 11.71
displacement would be 1834.67cc using the LS crank and LS rods.

what i would do if you are doing that is eather get a race prepped ls head, or just go ls/vtec. but that entails upgrading a majority of other things as well...

 

Don't use the CTR crank, that would be ***. It'd be like adding less displacement.
