i took the inner part of my door panel out to reupholster it, but i'm having trouble getting it to stay in there tight.

i tried silicone and it didnt hold it. any ideas?

 

oh crap, somehow i thought i was in the civic forum, my fault

 

i did this to my old coupe.. first off how did you take off the inner panel to start out with? i melted mine off w/ a solder gun and then i took some small washers and small screws i got at work and secured it back on.. it held very well and never had a problem w/ it at all..

I've seen people use small sheetmetal screws... or something similar...

I'd definately use some sort of screwing fastener though....

seach I know there's a write up on re-upholstering them...
