Default Help, door is stuck!

The passenger door is stuck. I tried to open it from the inside and outside with no luck. I hit it and it won't budge. I think the latch came loose inside
Any ideas to open it? btw, 5th gen.
Thanks

I know on 4th gen you can pop the plastick piece that surrounds the handle that you pull on and you will be able to push or pull on the rod to open/close the door.

That little plastic piece he is talking about is roughly 4 dollars. It's hard to explain damn.

on the bright side...at least it's the passenger side, and at least it's stuck closed rather than stuck wide open

If a door could be kicked open by a person from inside the car I dont think I would want to be riding in that car. Do you have any clue as to what you are talking about? I want to see you kick the door hard enough to either bend/break the latch in the door or break the metal piece that sticks out of the car that the door latches to.. idiot

As for the problem.....I have no clue on how to open it.....have you tried what they said above about taking off the door latch cover and trying to open it by pulling the metal rod?

how about i kick you open from the inside?

i doubt the latch itself is broken, its something on the linkage, so kicking it would do zero good except hurt your leg and door panel. retard

get the door handle cover off and see if you can yank the linkage...

Im pretty sure there isnt dude .

Take pictures of where u took the handle cover off. Or keep trying to pull on different rods, if that plastic piece we are talking about has broken off the metal bar poped out and swung down so you might not be able to see it at all. Grrr this is hard with the door panel not being off.

EDIT: Ogh and... WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!!!?? What, one day it didnt open or some??

You could always leave your window down and get in Dukes of Hazzard style all the time. That would work.
just kidding.

DONT try yo kick ur door open!!! i see these all the time at the honda dealer i work at. i can almost guarantee u need a new latch. first things first take ur passenger seat out through the driver's side. then pull the panel off. i know its a bitch and be prepared to break it. once u get it off take the window out. u should be able to look inside the door at the latch. #3/32 in above picture. there is supposed to be a spot to drill into the latch to pop it open but i always just use an air hammer and obliterate the latch. BE CAREFUL not to blast a hole in the door. this is a very time consuming job for some, we charge anywhere from 4-6 hrs depending on vehicle so take ur time.

did the bar move at all?? if it did im guessing it just jiggled loosely.....if so, take a jackhammer to your driver rear tire and then a hammer to your rear window....that should get it....lol

you will need to figure out how to get that door panel off as it sits....
