how to clean new bulbs

I got a new set of bulbs and is there anything I can use to clean them off before I install them just incase there's anything on them from when I got them? My alcohol? Don't feel like blowing up a set of new bulb and wrecking my headlight
Depends on what kind of light it is..
If it's a Halogen bulb.. you should use alcohol and never touch them with your bare hands.. paper towel or something like that, just never with your fingers.
If it's just a normal bulb.. just use a damp towel (cold water)

Just curious...if they're new, how'd they get dirty?
