Stripped starter motor mounting bolt please help (double post)
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=62421 Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Which bolt is it, the long or short one?
If it's the short one you might be okay, i'll check it out in my manual later and see if thats a spot that you can retap..
If it's the long one, well....that could be a bad thing
what is exactly stripped?

It is the head of the bolt, not the threads. Sorry, I was boncing all around frantically at the time I wrote that. It is the long one that goes all the way into the block. The bolt is still in there, head is somewhat rounded. Thanks for the help. Any suggestions?
ewwwww, thats not good
i know they sell sockets that cut a new head in after you pound it on with a hammer
or.......
cut the head off, pull the starter off and then you'll have a shaft to work with and then maybe with a pair of locking pliers you might be able to get it off
