Default NOS question...

I have a D16Z6 vtec motor with a substantial amount of mileage...Id say about 105, 000, anyhow, I am going NOS, and Im assuming that I will blow this head rather soon. I have looked and seen that i can get a new/used head complete for very cheap, but Im curious, what else if anything would be needed, and how hard is the full head swap assuming thats all that was damaged. btw, outside of head damage, what other elements of my motor could be damaged by the NOS. I know that it mainly effect the head and intake areas the most due to the detonations and everything, but do I really have to worry about any block damage, or other motor probs?

I ran a 50 shot of NOS (Dry) on my 98 Civic with 92,000 miles on it. I never had problems with it. My car now has over 100k on it, and still no problems.

Not trying to be a dick but... it sounds as if your a newbie to the whole nitrous scene. Before you do any mod i would research and gain all the knowldge you can on the subject. Nitrous can affect almost any part of you car. I have had O2 sensor codes thrown, two cracked pistons, two piston ringlands compressed so much i couldnt even move the rings. The point is just read and learn, that is your best bet and make sure you dont blow anything up! GOOD LUCK!!

We throw code 43 with obd1 and spraying. And we throw a code 41, or whatever o2 code it is. Some things i would consider, is Fuel pressure regulator, cam gear, or just retard the timing a litlte. WE have so far went through 6-7 fillups, and its still running strong, and fun. If you do it right, you will be fine.
