i went to the dealer and there were not only just "gears" in the tranny...
there was a whole mess of ****.
what exactly will i need to do this swap..
anyone got part numbers?

 

The price of buying the 1-4 gear sets, on the main and counter shafts, you can almost buy a whole ITR trans.

 

get a ITR tranny and swap out the 5th gear in that.....i assume you want the 5th gear to be lower for highway.....me too!!!

 

What are your plans for the motor?

1-2 gear set is going to run $450 new from dealer
3-4 gear set is about $300 new from dealer
These are prices for the syncros and the gear.

The countershaft will be right at $295.00

You also might have to replace a couple of the shift forks, as they possibly might not line up.

itr tranny retail from dealer 2700.
used trannies u always take a risk.
this way i can spend just as much, and know what's in the tranny.
that to me is not a bad deal at all.
