do you do a burnout w/bf drag radiels
i know its pointless w/normal street tires, but the drag radiel is supposed to be different. im getting them mounted tomarow, then going to the track. do they grip better after a burnout?

yeah but just because they grip better, doesnt mean youll run a faster time, too hot and youll have a good 60foot but a slow 1/4 time

mine hooked much better after a nice smokey burnout, but i had to at least get the tires wet in order for them to spin without taking my car for a ride.
I have gotten really good traction from just Cleaning the tires off a lil. Not doing a huge burnout, and just turning them over a few times. Saves time, motor, and Pocket
yea just get tires wet via drive through, not spinning in the wet, that would not be good unless you are planning on doing a burnout long enough to dry the water that you just threw all through your inner fender area. Plus they don't alow burnout while sitting in the water at my track. brings too much water up to the starting line from dripping off your car.
ok i'll shut up now

yeah too hot and they are too sticky and slow you down. seen done on street tires as well as slicks. street tires from personel experience, slicks from looking at friends time slips. did a short dry burnout, got a alittle slower 60 but overall faster 1/4, long burnout good 60 but slower 1/4

You need to substantiate this claim, I run the BFG radials and this makes no damn sense, it simply defies the laws of physics. You need to get these tires wet they 'will not' dry burnout unless you are pushing sick amounts of power. These tires need to be hot to get the benefit they provide over street tires. Slower quarter mile time has more to do with the tire pressure in these tires. These tires are sensitive to the weather conditions, if it is hot outside or the sun is beating down you will gain tire pressure, cold outside or no sun beating down on the tires you will lose pressure. In other words you are either losing pressure or gaining pressure with these tires and you need to check the pressure frequently right befor every run, that would be the cause for any inconsistencies in your quarter mile times, not the heat of the tires.

just a quick question. do you guys run these tires 24/7? or are they your track only tires. im just askin because im thinking of getting some and ide figure they would wear out quicker if used as reg driving tires?
