Default very loose steering wheel

I have an 88 accord and the steering is extremely loose, is it just my car or are all 88 accords like that?

Something is wrong with your car. By loose, I'm assuming you mean you turn the wheel and the car doesn't turn very much?? Check the balljoints (both upper and lower) and tierod ends for excessive play (there shouldn't be any, or very VERY little at most)... most likely they're probably shot. 3rd gens have a real nice tight precise steering, so if it's loose, something is wrong. If balljoints are fine, check the universal joint in the steering shaft for looseness and excessive play (down by the gas/brake pedal, under that tubular black cover). If everything else checks out ok, then the rack itself may be shot. Start with the easy stuff first though.
