Default New EF owner with some Q's

I just picked up a 90 hatch dx with 94k 5speed clean white with blue interior for 1250. Do you guys think that it was a reasonable deal.

Whats the first thing i should do to it?

1)Wash it.
2)Wax it.
3)Read H-T crx/EF civic day and night to learn what you want to do to it.

they pop up here once in a while. There are a few dealers around and as long as you're willing to pay the price you'll get em. They run between $400-$600. btw, just swapping out the bumper will work but the bumper bolts on top will show and will leave a kinda funky/funny appearance. You'll need to swap the whole front end to finish it. Hood, headlights, corner lights, metal filler, bumper (fenders optional). just a suggestion.

there are so many things you can do. I was so happy when I got my '90 CRX Si. I knew I could do everything from drag to track to auto-x. go all motor or boost. there's simply no "best" thing to do. I'll be going the mini-me route and focus on auto-x till I can get the $$$ for a ZC. Then I'll start tearing up the track at NHIS. if I get real industrious, these things aren't too shabby in the FWD class at rally-x or ice racing. just so many options. I'll be going to the local pick-apart yard (30 bucks all you can carry, baby) tomorrow to look for goodies off other Hondas. if I'm lucky I'll find a mini-me head. just read and read and read till you find something in your budget, then read some more till you know how to do the task inside and out.

First thing to do is to buy an alarm.

check to make sure everything works? That's only if you haven't done that already. Which you should have.

Well, people are over charging for Civic's but in the grand scheme of things you got a good deal. I got my hatch in Va (Trashed) broke seats, broke lights, spent clutch for like 1k. I get 100 back went I take the motor back to them after the swap. I paid to much because I had cash but I wasn't gonna leave it stock so I was more worried about the frame. that's all I wanted. What's the first thing? How much money you got? I dropped a motor in mine. P.S. what do you want to do. It's your car.

hey man, sounds like you got a good deal, first thing i would do if you dont have tons of cash is just the basics, intake header and exhaust

but if you have the cash i highly reccomend a swap either a b16 or b18 .. up to you...

A alarm and autolock should be #1....
Then go find SI parts... swap the parts, go get a ebay intake, knn cone filter, good header, also a exhaust, lowering springs, Shocks, and some rota slips in black then strip them and make them get the polished look for the nice old school look
