Default BEWARE: EG guys with 'teg dashes

I had a problem with an old car of mine. When i swapped the dash i put in my EH vin number on the teg dash with very small bolts that look like screws. One day i am at work looking out the window and i saw a cop parked behind me with his lights on, i didn't want to come out, but he was there for a good 20 mins looking at the car, inside, under and the whole thing. So i come out, he asked me if iam the owner and why i changed the vin #, he wanted to tow my car because he thought it was stolen, long story short, i had to pop my hood and show him the matching firewall vin and my registration. He also told me if i came out 5 mins later, my car would have been towed to a police impound and ripped to **** so they find out who the owner is.

Anyway this comes down to the question, how do you guys replace the VIN so it looks clean???

dayam...that is lame.

my VIN on my teg dash barely even shows. the VIN tags around here aren't very much of a concern..

We drilled the rivets while being mega careful, and re-riveted them

When you live in Toronto, where Type Rs are almost nonexistant because so many were stolen, and SiRs getting there quick, you will understand. It's pretty bad here, even one of MY old cars was stolen (gsr eg with 5 bolt)
