Recently, I found out that the water/engine temp gauge indicator
only moves very little bit towards hot. It is unusual, and it used to
be standing in the middle position.

And I also found out that there is engine vibration when it is idle.
Is that because of that? Why would the car not heating up.

Probably your thermostat is stuck open. Put in a new one.

I don't know if the vibration is related. My first guess is NOT. But after you put in the new T-stat you'll know if it got better...

 

yep...bad thermostat...

 

And you'll certainly need it replaced with the weather soon to be getting cooler....well depending where you live...it was like 80 dergrees last x-mas here....
