Default NEW MEMBER! opinions about Integra options... b20/vtec, etc??

Hello to everyone. Here's a short story... I bought a wrecked '94 Integra with a b20b in it not too long ago. I own a '97 Nissan 200SX, and am (selling) getting rid of it, so now I am going to build a Honda of some sort since the engine that came with the Integra is in working order. The engine is a JDM b20b w/ JDM gsr tranny and clutch master stage 3 clutch... The car was considered as totalled since the frame is a little bent (as far as insurance saw)... My roommate (his old car actually) and I think that the frame is ok, but I'm going to take it to the shop anyway to see if they can check the frame. Inside the engine bay, the driver side engine mount area is messed up from where the car was hit, so I know that I need to weld on a new piece from another integra... Anyway, I'd like some of your opinions on what I should do... Should I accept the car as totalled and part it out (except the engine, i'm keeping that!) ? Or if the car's frame is ok, I was thinking about doing a JDM front end... Or..... if I bought another 94+ Integra, do you think I will get enough money from parting out that engine (rs/ls engine) from the new Integra AND my wrecked Integra to pay for a vtec conversion? Sorry if my Honda terminology is not correct, I'm barely jumping into the Honda scene.... Everyone's input is appreciated.

WOw. You wont get much parting out an LS motor. If you accept the salvage, i would get dirty and look for an integra Shell. Swap over everything from the Salvaged integra into the shell. Look for a clean title shell so you can retain the value of the car. It's a lot of work, but probably better for you as far as problems down the road. Good Luck.

Ok, yah, I guess you're right. I'll probably find an Integra shell. I don't care if the title is clean or not though as long as the frame is in perfect condition and the body is in good shape. Thanks for your input, it helped!
