when i got my motor built it included blue printing. what excatly get done in this process?

 

an easy way to describe is it: just makign sure every thing lines up 100%

 

Building to specs (ex: plastigaging bearing surfaces, using a torque wrench on all bolts) Most (or many at least) engine builders just assemble parts and torque the most important bolts (rods,mains,head). If the machining was done properly it's likely that the build would be just as good....there's just more risk of something being off. Blueprinting is time consuming, but thorough.

AH, I always thought, it meant you got blueprints with the specs of your newly built engine, hahah
