Has anyone ever tried to fit the 91 civic sunroof onto a crx? I was wondering about this because the civic's sunroof is glass isn't it?

i was also wondering about that... my sunroof is starting to show signs of rust, and i have been considering a glass one.

 

i got a sun roof for a crx for sale ...... already primered ..... glass sun roofs suck . and how ya gonna cover the glass , it would be too much trouble

 

Glass doesn't rust, and can't you just tint the glass?

 

If you look at them, you'll notice that the Civic glass sunroof is of a different design shape than the CRX. I also think it uses different mounting points, and it looks smaller. Sorry... I was looking at one yesterday in the junkyard, thinking the same thing.

 

wont the window tint cause the glass to warp or crack? thats what i heard

Tint is just a thin plastic film glued to the glass... I mean, REALLY thin...

 

glass is heavier then sheet metal, and umm if anythign just weld that shut and take the whole sunroof mechanism out u will save 50 lbs!

 

The hb sunroof is a diff shape than the crx, the crx shape is more dome shaped since it has that huge glass in the hatch, the hb roof is longer and is therefore less dome shaped and more flat.

 

the heat that the tint causes it to reflect makes it warp

 

The only way to get a glass roof on a CRX is to get a custom one made for it. The CRX roof comes out because of the sapce it has between it and the rear window. Also it does have a bend in it so the HB roof won't fit on it. The HB one goes inside the body.
