I just recently installed my Honda CD player in my 91 CRX. I connected all the wires except for one which didn't have a wire to connect it to. The wire happens to be my illumination wire. Since it is not connected I cannot really see any of my cd player at night whenever I turn my lights on. Where should I connect ther wire? Should i splice with my power wire? I have no idea what to do...please help.

 

What color is the wire orange?

 

So a search on here for a Helms manual. I know there's an online one you can download. Get it, open it, and go to the radio information. It will detail every radio wire, and it's purpose.

 

yea, the color of the wire is orange...no stripe and it says illumination on it. i am thinking that i will just have to wire it to another that has to do with illumination or tap it into my dimmer for my tack...what do you guys think?

i have never had to use the orange wire on any cd player ive installed... double check everything and see if something isnt mixed up... also check your grounds... maybe you just need a new battery

 

yea just tap into the dimmer for the cluster and heater controls, should work fine..HTH
