what type of civic? i got one buddy with a crx currently running cr-vtec.
he's runnin the gsr ys1 tranny w/ lsd. no clearance problems/i believe he is using hcp mounts, but i could be mistaken. regular linkage and he's running a pw0 obd0 ecu.
i dont have any pics but he's all motor: best time i think was a 13.5-8....

maybe i don't understand your post but...
you've got to remember that CRVTECs are basically no different than any other b-series swaps. they all require nearly the same amount of space in an engine bay and of course they all fit in a 4th gen civic. you'll need a cable trans unless you run one of the hydraulic adapters available. you'll need a mount kit, shift linkage, and b-series axles and intermediate shaft. you will also need to atleast wire up the vtec and/or knock sensor.
the ECU is really upto you. you could run the setup on a non-OBD PR3/PW0 ECU or do the OBD1 conversion and run a chipped P28 (ie. hondata).
