Default master cylinder question

For a while now, my brakes will slowly go to the floor when I am sitting at a light. They stop the car fine (used to have a bad leak -front left wheel- but I replaced the leaky caliper seal and so far so good)

I guess this is the MC leaking on the inside because I have no brake fluid leaks at the wheels or under the hood.

If I just replace the MC do you think I will be alright? Or should I replace anything else while I am at it?

They leak from the back so you probably can't see it unless you unbolted it from the booster and checked.

It was described to me like this...

The cylider has a piston inside that when the brakes pedal is pushed, pushes the fluid up which puts pressure through the system and this in turn operates the brakes.

They said my cylinder may have some fluid leaking around the cylinder when it is pushed in for a long period of time. It still stops the car but eventually when solid steady pressure is applied, it seeps around..

I dont appear to be losing fluid so could this be the case?

Its a slow small leak. But think, any sized leak is going to release the pressure. I believe that the booster increases pedal pressure by about 4 times. So if you have 1'' surface area on the piston and press the pedal down with 100lbs of pressure it is going to put about 400lbs of pressure on the back of that MC. So even if it is a pin hole sized leak that much pressure is going to make it leak like a bastard.
