Hey wad up guys. I just signed up to your site and thought maybe you

could give me a little advice. Right now i am saveing up my money for

a RSX. Waiting til i get about 70k before i start to do the work. Have

about a year and a half to 2 years b4 i have the money. You guys are

going to laugh at me i know it but im trying to build the *******

fastest RSX ever. Ok go ahead and laugh but **** im going to do it.

When i do start i am going to start with all the engine work first

(not like some people who start with exhaust). I was thinking of

geting a J-Spec 4cyl engine imported but **** i have no ******* clue

where to look. After i get it imported im going i want to rebuild it

and get it blueprinted. **** i dont even know if this is the best

thing to do i hear the engines stock can be pretty powerful if you get

them rebuilt you can make about 300 whp all moter. If you guys can

give me some advice or know where i can purchase a J-Spec engine post

jeez dude. in two years a lot will happen with the k series motor. If I were you and wanted to build a badass setup, I would do this: 2.4l crv bottom end with a jdm itr head. Throw in some Toda Spec C cams with the ITBs. Also get the Toda header, Toda high cr pistons, and all that jazz. Could easily yield close to 300 whp

 

listen dummy,
take that 70 grand buy a 97 nsx and supercharge it.
it'll be much faster handle better and you will mail me a thank you card i promise.
it will also hold resale value, something a 70,000 dollar rsx can't do.

That was a nice dream where you saw a 8 sec rsx. good old mushrooms. You may have seen a couple of front wheel drive 8 sec cars, but your not going to be driving one, (espessially around the street) and it cirtainly won't do it with only 300 hp. I like the nsx idea. I wish I had 75 grand. This is such a rediculous thread I feel embarised i responded.

With 300 whp= no 8 sec car. You wouldn't even be able to drive a 10 sec. front wheel drive on the street.

lot of cursing for only three posts rich boy, only two post left today before you have to wait till tomorrow to respond. 300 hp on a 3000 will result in maby 11's if you have really done your homework. I know, I have raced before with a 300 hp car and without the budget, that was the best I could do. If you plan on gutting the car and adding some more power, maby you could go faster. You have obviously no done alot of work, or you would know one of the thousands of places to find a jdm engine. street imports.com has many, but if you have the loot and you seem to why not buy a brand new dart b18 block that has already been sleeved. you angry little man

Thats why im asking for advice to find out what works and what doesnt. the stock engine Type-S 200-hp, 2.0-liter, DOHC, i-VTEC engine is one of the best engine honda makes has the potential.. im just saying i think an old rebuilt bored + blueprinted engine would give me more speed. feal free to post opinons...

 

first off... you dont smoke mushrooms...

there is no possible way to spend 70 grand on a rsx and still have it streetable. just get a bmw m5 or something. your never going to have the fastest rsx and have it streetable. dont waste your time. you need to learn a lot of stuff about cars before you should even be allowed to own one, so please dont do anything but read for the next two years, by then you will hopefully figure out the thousands of reasons why you shouldnt spend 70 grand on a rsx and what alteratives you have to waste your money on.

1) there is no RSX-R here in the states

2) 8 seconds is fast. 160+ trap speeds? yea thats fast newbie

3) no you cant make it a "rally car" to pass smog moron. if its street legal in CA it has to be smoged.

Step 1: Go back to McDonalds, apply for that assistant manager position your mom didnt want you to get. Save until you get $70,000, that should take you about 10 years or so.

Step 2: waste all of that money on a front wheel drive honda, spend it on parts and labor that you know nothing about.

Step 3: Go outside one day to find your car stolen, all your dreams and aspirations were for nothing, maybe you should have worked at subway.

i dont know why im going to reply to this but the only rsx that is campaigned in sanctioned import drag racing is rj deveras RSX and even that hasnt even seen the track yet, and will probably never see it. THERE IS NO 8 SECOND RSX PERIOD, race car nor street car, there is no 8 second daily driver honda/acrua period. THERE ARE HOT ROD class civics running 8's but they are race cars, there are also modified tube chassis fwd civic bodied cars running 8s with higher traps that are also race cars. your such a newb sudden death, do some more reading before you start calling people on hear stupid. Dont lisen to what your dumb peers are telling you.
