Default Prelude shifter and cables in 4th gen...need help

WEll i bought everything for less the $60 but i have the shifter plate in my car but only 2 of the 4 bolts that attach the shifter and plate to the chasis match. What should i do about the other two. i have never heard of having to use the plate...

do you have a 1990? also keep in mind that if you have the 97+ prelude shifter assembly, it is a different shape and size, and wont bolt in correctly or look as clean, but will still work.

what are you doing.....short shifter install or just a swap....either way, accord parts work best

I'm using a 92-92 prelude shifter, plate, and cables. I tried installing the shifter and part the connects to the cable on the left to the shifter to the accord plate but the part that connects to the left cable did fit properly. Should i only install the prelude shifter and use the accord part that connects to the left cable. I do like how the prelude plate and shifter sits alot lower though, would it cause any major problems?

UPDATE! well i had to slide the plate down and used the accord bushing but removed the metal inserts on the inside of the plate and it all came together perfect and a clean install.
