Default need help w/ b16a

Hi, i have a 98 honda civic ex coupe and I just bought a jdm b16a obd0 motor

I just bought the motor only w/out distributor.

would this motor work in my car?

I know that the wiring harness and distributor has to match w/ the same obd version.

and since i just bought the motor only and this is going into a 98 civic coupe
so i know i need a hydro tranny.

if i got an obd2 distributor and a b16a2 hydrolic tranny then chip my ecu, can i run
this obd0 b16a in my 98 civic?

any help would be appreciated.

Not sure on the dizzy question, but u do need a hydro-cable tranny conversion kit if you wanna run that motor. The kit costs about $500 from what I hear. If you're not sure what it is, do search.

Good luck and bump for you.

thanx for that piece of information (japtendencies) I didn't know that. So I do
need a cable-to-hydro tranny kit.

Yeah, my friend was thinking of putting a first gen B16 in his 95 coupe since we can get them for around $1200 or so. But by the time you deal with all the hassle of getting the tranny kit, then flashing the ECU's, and the programming, etc, it was gonna cost less to just do a second gen B16. Did you get a good deal on your B16? If so, possibly think about selling it, making a little bit of money, and saving up for a second gen.
